The Lullying Barber

Monday morning, already up and standing, the radio crackles, someone is asking you for answers, your features have turned into a grimace, the shaving foam manages to cover your fingers while avoiding your face and the blade which is little more than an instrument that tortures you – while already your thoughts and feet have gone out of the door … Ahhhh nostalgia for the Italian barber! He is there waiting for you whenever you want. You sink into the leather armchair, and he gently caresses you, while talking to you about everything except what you are interested in and strangely that makes you want to listen even more: cards, football, women, even the latest gossip! He is the true encyclopedia of spare time. He lathers you with the skill of an artist, oh the badger hair bristles, oh the frothy foam, and his gentle hands pulling your skin as the sharp knife delicately glides over you, your thoughts running around in a world which causes you not to think at all. Monsieur voila. Eh … have you already finished?

Lunedì mattina, in piedi, la radio che gracchia, qualcuno che ti chiede risposte, il tuo viso teso in una smorfia, la schiuma troppa sulle dita e poca sulla faccia, rasoio o lametta come strumenti di tortura mentre pensieri e piedi sono già fuori dalla porta… Ahhhh che nostalgia di barbiere! Lui c’è sempre quando vuoi. Ti sprofonda nella poltrona in pelle, teneramente ti coccola, ti parla di tutto meno che di quello che ti interessa ma stranamente ti viene voglia di ascoltare: le carte, il pallone, le donne, anche l’ultimo pettegolezzo! Vero enciclopedico tempo perso, ti insapona con maestria , oh il pelo del tasso, oh la schiuma, le sue mani gentili tirano la tua pelle, l’affilatissima lama ti sfiora delicatamente, i tuoi pensieri in giro in un mondo che non ti pensa affatto. Et voilà messier. Eh … hai gia finito?
